EMBRACING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Luxurious hospitality and eco-consciousness go hand-in-hand at Carlton City Hotel. Situated in a historical district of Tanjong Pagar and within the Central Business District, the upscale business hotel welcomes its guests to be part of their environmental-friendly practices and reduce their ecological footprint together.

We believe that change begins with awareness. Using “Green Cards” which are placed beside the bed and hung on the towel rack, we strongly encourage our guests to participate in water conservation by reusing towels and linens during their stay, it not only saves water but also reduces the energy required for laundering. All guestrooms and common area toilets are installed with three-tick-rated fittings, under PUB’s Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MWELS). In a bid against energy consumption, the guest rooms function with extensive LED lighting whilst air-conditioning within is maintained at a recommended temperature.

Aside from the rooms, the food & beverage department within the hotel also espouses sustainability by providing biodegradable packaging for takeaways and deliveries through our online platform.

As going green comes from within, staff areas are also taken into consideration, with light sensors and hand basin sensors within the washrooms. Furthermore, electric charging stations are provided in the car park. Green walls are also featured prominently to give a sense of nature within the architecture, and do not require water to thrive.

As part of our eco-conscious efforts, we are proud to announce that we have taken a significant step towards reducing single-use plastic waste by eliminating plastic water bottles in guest rooms. We now offer a convenient and environmentally-friendly alternative with our water purification system. Each guest room is equipped with filtered water tap, ensuring that guests are able to enjoy a refreshing hydration experience without the need for single-use plastic bottles.
